Tiolene^® Mesh  is a light weight, monofilament titanised polypropylene mesh. The mesh is formulated with chemical vaporization of titanium atoms over polymer mesh. Each knitted fiber of the mesh implant is completely covered by a high-purity and adherent titanium dioxide surface coating to enhance the biocompatibility. During the manufacturing stage of the mesh, the carbon in the titanium-containing layer undergoes covalent bonding at the atomic level with the polypropylene mesh.
